6pm Update: March 14th, 2019
CHMR 6pm Evening Update:
Well it was another nice day today! Despite lot’s of clouds. Temperatures once again today got up to the mid and upper 5’s. 6.6 degrees was the high today in Downtown, as of 5:30pm it is now just 3 degrees.
A fairly Nice evening out there, we will see another nice dry day tomorrow to make this day # 4 of no precipitation but also of above freezing temperatures! The dry weather will unfortunatly come to an end by the first part of the weekend as the major bomb cyclone slamming the mid west right now tracks North east into Quebec and Labrador, this means we are on the warm side! So all rain.
FutureCAST shows that a few spotty showers may sneak in the metro by late morning and early afternoon, but the bulk of the heaviest steady rain is mid evening and overnight hours, rain moves out early Sunday morning. At this point it looks like we can see between 15 and 30mm with higher amounts in heaviest rain and potential thunderstorms.
Not only will we have heavy rain but also high winds! Winds on Saturday could gust between 60 and 80km/h, remains breezy on Sunday between 40 and 60km/h.
If you are a fan of the warmth and have been enjoying these amazing above seasonal temperatures, then may want to enjoy the last of it! We have colder air behind this storm that moves in to start the new week on Monday and they look to stick around, they MIGHT also even bring a slight chance of flurries or snow in forecast for Monday through Wednesday, however I am keeping it dry in my forecast!.
Tonight: Plan on partial clouds, and becoming colder. Light winds, temperatures dipping down to near -10 by morning.
Tomorrow, another dry day, increasing clouds, light winds, temperatures between 1 and 3 degrees.
Tomorrow night, becoming cloudy and windy. Winds overnight and into the Saturday morning Gusting to 40-60km/h. temperatures not as cold, between -2 and -4.
We are Wet, Windy & Warm on Saturday! With lot’s of rain, gusty winds and warm temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees. Perhaps even some thunder boomers!
Sunday is cloudy and morning fog, but clearing skies late morning and afternoon with mild temperatures continuing at around 5 degrees.
Monday through Thursday of next week follows a new weather pattern… colder! But dry with perhaps a SLIGHT chance of flurries or snow.. highs of -4 to 0. morning lows in the mid -5’s to -10.
